Dr. Feder is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Medical Director of the West Coast Center for Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Founder of the West Coast Sports Medicine Foundation and Past Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Centinela Hospital. Dr. Feder is a Clinical Assistant Professor- UCLA School of Medicine as well past chief of Sports Medicine at the UCLA-Harbor Orthopedic Residency Program. Dr. Feder is the Director of The Cartilage Restoration Center and the Medical Director of the Team to Win Sports Medicine program. Dr. Feder lends his sports medicine expertise as a committee member of the NFHS (National Federation of High Schools) and the CIF State safety committee and was appointed by the Governor of the State of California as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Health Professions Education Foundation. He is a graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical School, New York, followed by an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, New York. Dr. Feder is fellowship trained in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. He is the author of multiple chapters and peer reviewed articles in the Orthopedic Surgery literature as well an Associate Editor of Foot and Ankle International, the signature publication of the American Orthopedic Society for Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr Feder is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).

Dr. Feder co-created the Team to Win program to provide sports medicine expertise and treatment to low income, at risk student athletes of Los Angeles, the first of it’s kind in Los Angeles. His participation in high school and collegiate athletics has given him first-hand knowledge of what can occur during sports participation. His expertise in sports medicine is the reason professional athletes and sports organizations, such as USA Weightlifting, the DEW-NBC Action Tour, Cal State University Dominguez Hills, L.A. Southwest College, L.A. Harbor College, the Nike Real Run Professional Basketball League, and the Los Angeles Rugby Club, depend on him as their Chief Orthopedic Consultant. Dr. Feder served as Medical Director/Team Physician and Chief Orthopedic Consultant to the Long Beach Ice Dogs IHL Hockey Team for 7 years as well as the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) for 10 years, and the L.A. Triathlon. Dr. Feder participated as a Team Physician in the 1996 Summer Olympics (Beach Volleyball) and the 2000 Summer Olympics (Olympic Weight Lifting). Dr. Feder is an orthopedic consultant to the National Hockey League (NHLPA) Players Association.

William Hohl, MD is Associate Director of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Center. As a member of the Cedars-Sinai/USC Dance Medicine Center, Dr. Hohl specializes in adolescent sports medicine. Board certified in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Hohl is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association. He has written articles for several peer-reviewed journals, including Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Hohl received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. After an internship in general surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, he completed a residency in orthopedic surgery in the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Training Program and a chief residency in orthopedic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Hohl also completed a clinical fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Children’s Hospital Boston. Dr. Hohl has been dedicated to the West Coast Sports Medicine Foundations, Team to Win program since the beginning.

Carol Frey, M.D., is a graduate of Stanford University, where she was a NCAA Division I swimmer. She is also a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine. Her training includes a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). In addition, Dr. Frey completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Hospital for Joint Disease/NYU in New York City. She also has completed a fellowship in orthopaedic research with Dr. Savio Woo and Dr. David Amiel at UCSD. Dr. Frey is a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at UCLA and the former chief of the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Service at the University of Southern California. She has been a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), and California Orthopaedic Association (COA) for nearly 20 years. Dr. Frey has served as a board member, program chairman, committee and course chairman, faculty member, task force member, spokesperson, educator and editor.

 She has published more than 100 manuscripts and book chapters, in addition to editing several books on foot and ankle topics including: Current Practice in Foot and Ankle Surgery Vol I and II; AAOS Essentials of Musculoskeletal Radiology; and AAOS Essentials of Musculoskeletal Care.. Dr. Frey is on the editorial board of Foot and Ankle International, Biomechanics and is the foot and ankle section editor for Orthopaedics Today.

Dr. Frey has shared her expertise through many media outlets, including ABC News, the Associated Press, CBS News, CNN, Dateline NBC, Good Morning America, the New York Times, People magazine, Readers’ Digest, Runner’s World magazine, USA Today, The Today Show, 20/20, the Los Angeles Times, Time Magazine, Vogue, and the Wall Street Journal.  Dr. Frey is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Marc is currently vice president, director of financial education at Morgan Stanley’s Global Sports and Entertainment division, responsible for creating and delivering financial education to athletes and entertainers.

His book, Money Players: A Guide to Success in Sports, Business and Life for Current and Future Pro Athletes, is widely regarded as the go-to source of financial education for athletes, and is used as a text in sports business courses at many universities. A nationally known speaker on the business of sports, Marc is also the author of Go Pro Like a Pro and Compete: A Guide for College-Bound Basketball Players. Until 2017, he wrote a monthly column for Basketball Times.

Marc earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University, where he played on the men’s basketball team, and his MBA from The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine. He lives in Santa Monica, California with his wife Debbie Spander and daughter Rebecca.

Senior Vice President, Broadcasting and Coaching  

Debbie Spander joined Wasserman in 2012 and serves as Senior Vice President of Broadcasting and Coaching. In this role, Debbie focuses primarily on representing on-air talent, including former athletes, female sportscasters and multimedia journalists, as well as NBA coaches. She specializes in helping athletes transition to post-playing media and coaching careers and secures broadcast, coaching and marketing opportunities for clients, negotiates deals and provides overall career guidance.

Since joining Wasserman, Debbie has grown the Broadcasting and Coaching practice from five clients to 50 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2016. Her broadcast and media clients include Aaron Boone, Brent Barry, Frank Thomas, Candace Parker, Brian Scalabrine, Antawn Jamison, Ned Colletti Marc Spears, Ric Bucher, Jonathan Abrams, Stewart Mandel, Eric Wynalda, Jason Reid, Alyssa Roenigk, Nicole Zaloumis, Shane O’Donoghue, Juli Inkster, Laura Britt, Kristen Kenney and David Fay. She also represents Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg and newly hired Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton in both their coaching contracts and marketing partnerships.

Debbie began her career at Fox Sports Net, where, as VP of Business and Legal Affairs, she structured, negotiated and administered telecast licenses, talent deals and marketing agreements for FSN, Fox Sports and FX. Debbie was also VP, Business Affairs at MTV Entertainment, the digital, sports and comedy division of Viacom.

In 2016, Debbie was named to SportsBusiness Journal’s Game Changers list and Multichannel News Women in the Game. She currently serves on the Board of Directors and chairs the marketing and PR committee at the Sports Lawyers Association. She also sits on the Board of Directors at Westcoast Sports as well as the Marquette Sports Law Institute, is a frequent speaker at sports business and law conferences, and is a guest lecturer at UCLA and Arizona State’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

She is a graduate of Stanford University and the UCLA School of Law and lives in Santa Monica, California with her husband and daughter.

Kris Rone is a business and marketing executive who has experience operating, marketing, and developing business strategies and plans for companies like the Los Angeles Dodgers, Staples Center, the Los Angeles Kings, and Target Stores. She is highly regarded as an executive who brings innovation and revenue success to brands.

Most recently, Kris was the Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Prior to that, she was President of Fox Sports One, responsible for all sponsorship revenue for Staples Center, the LA Kings, LA Galaxy and LA Dodgers.

Before being involved in professional sports, Kris was Senior Vice President for the Haworth Group, handling Target’s sports marketing and media efforts around the country. She began her career in advertising and has had various positions at agencies such as Deutsch LA, Chuck Ruhr, and Campbell Mithun Advertising.

Philanthropy is an important priority to Kris who has been involved with several nonprofits, including serving as Trustee for an independent high school. She has also served on the boards of Para Los Ninos and the Dodger Dream Foundation.
